What criteria to choose a cosmetic?

Efficiency, environment-friendly, harmlessness, quality/price ratio, soft on the skin, which active ingredients are in the formula, allergens-hunting … what are the main points to check before choosing this or that product? The experts of the CosmeticOBS-L’Observatoire des Cosmétiques have determined six criteria that give an overall view of a cosmetic. A small checklist to have in mind when buying a product.
