Cœur de Forêt (Heart of the Forest)

1 product bought = 1 planted tree. Cosmetics which affix this logo take part in the action of the Coeur de Forêt Association (Heart of Forest), wherein the global objective is to develop an economic model which makes it possible to preserve the tropical rain forest and its inhabitants, and thus create real economic alternatives to deforestation.

Created in 2001, this association puts into place economic projects for the profit of forest populations threatened by deforestation (Brazil, Cameroun, Madagascar …).

The association stakes its claim on proving that one can earn more money by planting trees than by cutting them down on the basis of forest product beneficiation. This happens in three stages:

1. Reafforestation and safeguarding of diversity
2. Creation of co-operatives and equitable trade lines
3. Forest product beneficiation.

Coeur de Foret (Heart of Forest) also promotes publicity campaigns to increase public and entrepreneurial knowledge about forest resources and  gas emissions with greenhouse effect.
