A French logo for natural and organic cosmetics, supervised by the French Professional Association for Ecoloical and Organic cosmetics.
A professional association, Cosmebio brings together more than 340 French and foreign members from all the sectors of the cosmetics industry (ingredients suppliers, manufacturers, contract manufacturers, retailers).
It requires, before giving its agreement to a cosmetic product, that it meets the criteria and values written in its Charter, up-dated in 2011, based on three main factors:
• Technical specifications governing the ecological and organic cosmetics: Ecocert, Qualité-France, Cosmos standard…
• Ethical values: fair trade, biodiversity-friendly, socially responsible…
• Nature-friendly and support to organic farming.
