Durability ... or until when a cosmetic product may be used?

As for many products used daily, cosmetic products have a definite life span, i.e. a time when they may be used without any concern about a diminishing efficiency, without any risk to have them contaminated by, say, fungi, mould or bacteria. The manufacturers shall give the users this information, and users are well advised first to have a look at them, then to abide by it!
